Ia meyakini kedatangan Presiden di Papua hendak melegakan atmosfer, sebab kemenangan 90 persen suara di Papua kala Pemilu Presiden 2019 menampilkan kecintaan warga Papua terhadap Jokowi. Tidak hanya itu, bagi ia, kedatangan Presiden Jokowi di Papua bisa tingkatkan keyakinan warga Papua.

"Kedatangan Presiden pula hendak menampilkan kalau dia sungguh- sungguh menuntaskan perkara di Papua," ucapnya.

Pimpinan DPP Partai Gerindra Ahmad Riza Patria memperhitungkan sangat baik jika terdapat yang menganjurkan supaya Presiden Jokowi berkantor di Papua buat menampilkan keakraban kepada rakyat. Ia mencontohkan Presiden Keenam RI Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono berkantor di Yogyakarta kala terjalin musibah di daerah tersebut.

"Terlebih Jokowi menang absolut di Papua kala Pilpres 2019, 90 persen lebih, bagaikan pemimpin yang diseleksi oleh rakyat Papua spesialnya dengan menang banyak, aku kira wajib dekat," ucapnya.
